Slate Roof Specification

The following slate roofing guide specification follows the MasterSpec format and is intended to be included with other sections for related work. This document references pages in Slate Roofs: Design and Installation Manual, 2010 Edition, and Technical Bulletins

The purpose of this 3-part specification is to provide a detailed description of the quality required, materials, workmanship, dimensions, etc. of work to be done so designers, architects, engineers, or roof consultants can specify a slate roof properly. We hope this sheet can be put to good use and ease this process for the roof designer. It would be beneficial to future users of this specification sheet if current designers have any feedback in working with it.
